Please do not wash your cap as Lava Caps should never get wet! We'd advise using a waterproof or disposable shower caps each time you use your Lava Cap to reduce the cleaning requirement, but if your cap gets conditioner or hair product on it then wipe clean with a warm damp cloth, being careful not to soak it.

You can use your Lava Cap whenever you condition your hair, so even daily if you use leave-in conditioners! We recommend using the cap at least weekly if you have dry hair to help your hair find its ideal moisture balance.

The Lava Cap provides a gentle heat so it does not cause heat damage while boosting your hair's conditioning treatment.

We recommend using your favourite hair mask or hair oil as these products work well to maintain luscious, moisturised hair.

Once you're ready to dispose of your Lava Cap - then yes, you can recycle or sustainably discard of most of the components. The filling can be composted / added to food disposal and the cap lining can be recycled at a clothing recycling bank. There is a small elastic band in the cap that is not currently recyclable however, so this would need to be disposed of alongside regular household waste.  

Lava Cap fits a wide range of people due to the comfortable elastic headband; and is available in the following sizes (cap circumference in brackets)

▪ Large (up to 90cm)

📏 If your hair is very thick AND longer than 14" - try a Large size cap as this has more volume, otherwise the Regular size cap should be a good fit for you.
